After more than week of “staying on the porch” to nurse a god-awful cold, then winding up in another flare anyway, I decided I might as well get busy living again. Little did I know that, at the same time, my family must have started plotting to just finish me off!
- Thursday: Dinnner out with Mom and my son, followed by some very brief shopping.
- Friday: Lunch with Mom, my two kids, and my grandson. Two-hour round trip drive to look at some farm land going up for auction (we are talking dueling-banjo-country so I know hubby would never go for it). Went to grocery store for weekly shopping.
- Saturday: Cooked artery-clogging-breakfast (bacon, eggs, gravy, toast). Went on about a four hour shopping trip (SALES ALL OVER THE PLACE and I needed some clothes BADLY). Got home from shopping and jumped right into grilling burgers and dogs for dinner. At that point, I was just on autopilot!
- Sunday: Exhausted the minute I woke up! No deep sound sleep, chilling something fierce, aching all over… I felt like hammered doo-doo! Fixed muffins for breakfast and went back to bed, but only got to sleep an hour and a half though cause we were taking the kids to the Dixie Classic Fair. We got to the fair around 1:00 and stayed till around 6:00. After the first couple of hours, my body pretty much went numb so all that walking around wasn’t all that painful, he, he. After I got home, the feeling started slowly creeping back in and MAN was I in bad shape!
Needless to say, this is just the shell of the woman you all know as Ouiser writing to you tonight.
Ok… I started this post last night and now it is almost 2 p.m. and I still haven’t gotten around to finishing it. Sorry folks… I’m just too tired to elaborate further.
